Abdullahi Haske Bashir (born 13 December 1987) is a Nigerian entrepreneur, and philanthropist. He is the founder and Group Managing Director of The AAR Company[1], and founder of Abdullahi Haske Bashir Foundation[2]. Bashir is a fellow of the Business process management Institute and the Institute of Directors Nigeria.
He is known in Nigeria and Africa for his numerous business ventures[3] and philanthropic support through entrepreneurial grants and an active covid-19 response outreach.[4]
He was named by This Day news as one of the youngest billionaire in Nigeria [5]
Early life

[edit]Bashir was born in Yola, Adamawa, Adamawa State, Nigeria, on the 13th of December 1987, to Abdullahi Bashir Haske senior from Yola in Demsa Local Government Area of Adamawa State. [6] He grew up with four siblings, one of whom is Abdulrahman Bashir Haske, also a prominent businessman in Nigeria, he is the executive director of The AAR Company. [7]
Education
[edit]He studied Political Science at the University of Abuja obtaining a Diploma and an MBA in Economics from Lagos Business School.[8]
Career

[edit]Bashir's professional journey started in 2005; as a general contractor, offering services to various sectors of the Nigerian economy including oil and gas, construction and public procurement.[9]. His entrepreneurial journey began when he founded the AAR Company brand, and over the years has built a conglomerate of ten independent subsidiaries, namely Mars E&P, Mars Multiconcept Limited, Manomi Support Services Limited, Etihad Trading Limited, Etihad Oil Fields Limited, Mars Aviation Limited, Nitroswitch Limited, H&W Rice Company Limited, H&W Starch Company Limited and Etihad Energy Limited respectively.[10] [11]
As the Group Managing Director, Abdullahi Bashir provides business leadership, critical stakeholder management support, and entrepreneurial rigor for all key projects of the AAR Company, across the group’s business divisions. [12] [13]

[edit]Founder and Group Managing Director, Abdullahi Haske Bashir is the founder and Group Managing Director of The AAR Company, a Nigerian conglomerate and sectoral player in the Oil & Gas industry, operating owned assets in the upstream segments as well as businesses of wholly independent companies in the Agri-business, Information Technology and Logistics sectors. The AAR Company is also dedicated to contributing to Nigeria's national development, it has positioned itself as a platform for scaling these efforts, as well as bringing sustainable source of livelihood for it's host communities.[16] [17]

[edit]Bashir runs his philanthropic works through the Abdullahi Bashir Haske Foundation. [18] In recognition of his philanthropic goodwill, he has garnered several recognition and awards for excellent achievements from reputable organizations across Africa including the African Business Roundtable [19] and Rotary International.[20]
Awards and Titles
[edit]On the 4th of July 2022, Abdullahi Bashir Haske won the Rising Star of The Year Award at the Nigeria Oil & Gas Awards.[21] He was installed as the Ciroma Ganye, Chiefdom of Adamawa State after his father, Abdullahi Bashir Haske senior[22]
