- Da- Slapping
By patting and slapping the skin it is understood thatQi and blood gather and increase circulation, supposedly releasing toxic waste from the body.[2]
Steps of Pai-Da Treatment
[edit]- The correct way to preform Pai-Da Treatment is by alternating between slapping and patting and focusing on positive energy and thoughts, distracting thoughts will interfere with the flow of the positive energy going into the body.
- Pain is important in this treatment, the pain is what eliminates the toxins.
- While slapping the your arm for example it is important not only to stay focused and not allow bad thoughts into your head but also to imagine that you yourself are filling the body with fresh Qi and removing the bad Qi.
- The Chinese used to recite their favorite scriptures which is seen to help speed up the process.
- After patting and slapping one would notice the changes color of the sha that's been left behind after the treatment. If there is no sha present that means it is a healthy bit of the body. However, if there is some color that means there is an infection/disease.
- The darker the sha the more intense the disease or infectionis.
-Rubeosis: healthy
-Red: wind-heat usually can be found with the sub-health
-Purple red: stasis-heat and it is prone to feel pain
-Cyan: phlegm-dampness and it is prone to feel tired
-Purple black: stasis: shows the patient suffers from a large accumulation of body endotoxin and microcirculatory disturbance
-Black: shows the patient suffers from chronic disease and has been taking medication for a long time.[3]
- Some patients won't show any signs of Sha which just means that their infection or fever is a lot deeper into the body. This is why the Pai-Da Therepy should be repeated multiple times over the day.
