Masayuki Sono is the architect who created The Postcards 911 Memorial sculpture on Staten Island, New York City.
Education and Career
[edit]He received his Master of Architecture from the University of Washington and Kobe University, then went on to work for Voorsanger & Associates in New York.[1] He currently has his own architectural firm and is working on another 911 responders memorial.[2] He has been a visiting assistant professor at the Pratt Institute School of Architecture.[3] He won the design competition held by the borough of Staten Island in early 2003 to build a 911 memorial for its dead citizens.[4]
