User:Retro/Templates/Similarly named templates/Moving
Wikipedia:Template namespace § Template names recommends to Avoid having templates whose names differ only in case, spacing, or punctuation.
As part of the process for fixing occurrences of this, I will move (or have already moved) some templates. As Wikipedia:Requested moves § Undiscussed moves states: If you disagree with such a move, and the new title has not been in place for a long time, you may revert the move.
Feel free to revert some or all of these moves if you find them problematic.
These searches show some of the existing precedent for my renaming choices (however, they have many false positives, so a database query could be more precise; a detailed analysis would be even better):
- intitle:Sidebar: 732 results
- intitle:Timeline: 902 results
- intitle:Notice: 653 results
Many of the other pages I've moved were band names or other names that were a general word, where the article itself was already parenthetically disambiguated.
