I'm a computational biologist, which means that I create computer models to study biological processes. In other words, I ruin my back by hunching over the keyboard while wrestling with C++, Python and Bash, rather than by standing in a lab holding a pipette (don't hand me a pipette, it's a bad idea). My field of study is the evolution of embryonic development and the origin of multicellular life. In particular, I am interested in how evolution and embryonic development impact each other over long time scales.
I recently joined Wikipedia to make some edits to a page about a model formalism that I work with (the Cellular Potts Model); and who knows, maybe more will follow!
