Thanks
[edit]I appreciate the help and support from you and hope you can come back when things settle down. Cause we still have the fight the power! Yeah, I'm feeling your pain! I might retire from editing with Wikipedia. I am tired of fighting this battle with the same old thing over and over again. One way or another, I hope to find a neutral web encylopedia. Good luck in school, and well be seeing you around soon! Thanks again. LILVOKA.
Thank you
[edit]Thanks for your support on my request for bureaucratship.
The final outcome was (70/5/0), so I am now a bureaucrat. I seriously didn't expect so many good comments from everybody and I appreciated the constructive criticism from those that gave it. If you have any queries, suggestions or problems with any of my actions as a bureaucrat then please leave me a note. -- Francs2000 21:40, 9 January 2006 (UTC)Arbcom

Welcome!
[edit]Dear Jaranda: I see you have decided to join Wikipedia:WikiProject Cuba, the first of a series of wikiprojects on several Latino countries I plan to build. As you can see, before you came, I was the only one working on the Cuban project. The page is badly in need of a makeover, at least as far as the wikibox goes, and there is a lot of work to do about Cuba and it's culture.
Regardless, your being there is treasured by me. I want to thank you very much for adding your name to the list. I think you might find my article, Ofelia Fox, interesting. Since Im Puerto Rican and involved in other Hispanic wikiprojects, Im gonna be a somewhat infrequent collaborator, however, I hope wikiproject:Cuba is the first step towards uniting Hispanic writers at wikipedia.
Thankyou very uch and God bless you! And once again, welcome to our project!
Sincerely yours, Antonio Cuba la Bella Martin 13:06, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit]I have decided to withdraw my nomination, due to growing oppose votes due to my lack of experence (and because of userboxes?). I will now aim to continue, and broadern my scope from userboxes. Chucky Mullins
[edit]Hi there. You nominated Chuckie Mullins for deletion, and I just wondered if you were aware that he had been the subject of a film. You may have had trouble finding information about him because his name is more usually spelled Chucky. After Googling that spelling, I think he looks pretty notable. Nomination for wiki adminiship
[edit]Nothing personal against user:JzG but, if you answer those questions, that of witch I'm confident you can do, you will have probably gained my 175% fashist support. Until then I oppose. Also, what is a revenge RFC? And why do you assume that I was close to filling this type of RFC? (I've only been here for about 3 months, I'm pretty novice) I do know that according to Wikipedia:Requests for comment#User-conduct RfC: RfCs which are brought solely to harass or subdue an adversary are highly frowned upon by the community. Repetitive, burdensome and unwarranted filing of meritless RfCs is an abuse of the Wikipedia dispute resolution process. RfC is not a venue for personal attack. Filing an RfC over a matter that other users regard as trivial or inappropriate may diminish their opinion of you or may cause them to file an RfC against you. The RfC you file may itself turn into an RfC against you, if most of those voting and commenting are critical of you. Filing an RfC is therefore not a step to be taken lightly or in haste. I would appreciate an appology, because 1) I think you have accused me of this RfCs for harassement 2) I think that is bad faithed and never have I ever brough up an RfC towards a user... (though I may have allusioned at it today at my request for mediation) --CyclePat 06:29, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
Responded on your talk page --Jaranda wat's sup 06:40, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you for your response. Well, it's quite interest to see how someonr else feals about this issue. I don't think you're the first person to mention that. Really, I just want to be able to edit wikipedia without edit wars. (place objectional material that doesn't have to go through 15 thousand process). I believe NPOV is properly reprensting both sides. Hence, having to present so POV's. Plus, today, to avoid much of our debating issues I requested slightly after, or maybe before (I can't remember), a request for mediation and comments on the issues at hand. --CyclePat 06:51, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

Articles For Deletion
[edit]Hi, one or both of the following situations applies to you, and you may therefore be interested in related discussions.
- You expressed an opinion about the proposed deletion of an article concerning one of the first 200 verses of the Gospel of Matthew. Would you therefore like to join a centralised discussion about the other 199 articles at Wikipedia:Centralized discussion/200 verses of Matthew
- You expressed an opinion about the proposed deletion of an article concerning one of the first 19 verses of the 20th Chapter of the Gospel of John. Would you therefore like to join a centralised discussion about the other 18 articles at Wikipedia:Centralized discussion/Verses of John 20
You may also be interested in a discussion of whether or not the entire text of a whole bible chapter should be contained in the 6 articles concerning those specific chapters, and whether or not they should only use the translations favoured by fundamentalists. This is being discussed at Wikipedia:Centralized discussion/Whole bible chapter text.

[edit]When you are using the no source tag on images, you need to include the parameters like {{no source|month=January|day=17|year=2006}}. Otherwise, it shows up in Category:Images with unknown source as of unknown date 2006. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 05:45, 18 January 2006 (UTC)

FA nominations
[edit]Hey there, thanks for the support for the Patriots article! I took a look at your FA; it's a good article, full of pictures and well-balanced information. I voted support. One thing: should the Hurricane Andrew picture be moved down a bit? Deckiller 22:51, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
history of Miami, Florida
[edit]Hey! I think the article is doing great, but I can't help but notice that the introduction doesn't sound very introduction-like. It feels a little like you've started reading the article midway through rather than at the beginning. Also, the current introduction is a bit too long, most intros are only 1-2 paragraphs and are just a small bit about the topic. You should write a small summary of the article and then put the current intro as the beginning of the actual article (below the contents). Also, you should put a current picture of Miami as the lead picture (but this is up to you). Thanks. -- PRueda29 / Ptalk29 / Pcontribs29 23:24, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
Alright, I understand, the problem I was thinking of was that it may be difficult to summarize the article if it were chosen for the mainpage, but seeing the both History of AZ and AK have been on the mainpage before with a summary, then the current intro is fine. -- PRueda29 / Ptalk29 / Pcontribs29 23:31, 28 January 2006 (UTC)

- I mean in terms if he is the author of the article can he release it under both licenses etc? Anyway I was just mentioning not to copyvio all the pages because I think this one can be sorted out, hope for the best! --Iateasquirrel 02:23, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

Audio Version of your FA
[edit]Hey Aranda, I wasn't able to catch you on IRC tonight, so I thought i'd leave you a message here. I've recently started becoming active in the spoken wikipedia project, and I would be very greatful to do an audio recording of the History of Miami that you currently have nominated for Featured Article status! I just wanted to talk to you first though, because I obviously don't want to record until all revisions are made. Since you'll no doubtably keep better tabs on it's status, could you possibly drop me a note on my talk page when it reaches consensus for FA? I would greatly appreciate it :-) Thanks! --lightdarkness 04:15, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

My RFA
[edit]Hi RenamedUser jaskldjslak901/Archive7, thanks for participating in my RfA discussion. Unfortunately, my fellow Wikipedians have decided at this time that I am not suitable to take on this additional responsibility, as the RfA failed with a result of 66/27/5 (71.0% support). If you voted in support of my request, thank you! If you decided to oppose me at this time, then I hope that if I do choose to reapply in the future, the effort I will make in the meantime to improve and expand my contributions to Wikipedia may persuade you to reconsider your position.
