Magus of Khorasan
[edit]The individual known as Magus of Khorasan was an Iranian writer, poet, and commentator from the Umayyad dynasty. He was a Zoroastrian and was recognized for his interpretations of the Avesta in addition to his poetic works.

[edit]He does not appear in the primary sources of the history of the early centuries of Hijri, such as the History of the Prophets and Kings. In fact, the specific identity of this figure remains unknown, and "Magus of Khorasan" is a general title given to this character by Heinrich Hübschmann.[1]
