Nice job

[edit]

hey you got there before me haha nice job tagging the vandal:) Take Care,Arnie 19:21, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

Nothing like rapping vandals on the knuckles with a (imaginary) ruler is there? Y4kk 19:31, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

Slime Volleyball

[edit]

Hi! You reverted the vandalism on the second part of the page. But there was also vandalism by the same person on the first part about Gameplay. Can you do something about it? Thank you.

Thanks for pointing out my error. You can easily revert pages back to an original version - How-to Revert. When you refer to a page it is usually helpful to include a link to the page that you referred to Making links, in that case it would be Slime Volleyball. On talk pages, please sign your comment by typing four tildes. Thank you Y4kk 14:09, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for letting me know, but you seemed to have made a mistake while reverting. Clyde (a.k.a Mystytopia) 22:39, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

I did, hopefully it is now corrected Y4kk 22:43, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Fooled you!!

User:Destructo 087/Userboxes/Fooled You deserve this for getting fooled by me.

Leave article content in place when proposing deletion

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent contribution removed content from Kasey lutz. Please be careful when editing pages and do not remove content from Wikipedia without a good reason, which should be specified in the edit summary. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. When proposing an article for deletion, please leave the text in place so other editors can review the content and either agree with the prod or fix the article. Additionally, in this case, you could have tagged the article for speedy deletion with the {{db-bio}} tag. —C.Fred (talk) 23:57, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for that revert. I've reported the anon IP who's doing it to WP:AIV. --Yksin 19:21, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

... and s/he's now been blocked for a month for making deliberate factual errors. --Yksin 19:23, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

Accusations of vandalism on HIV/AIDS in South Africa

[edit]

I strongly disagree with your assessment that these edits by User:76.221.186.215 are vandalism. The IP editor left comments on the talk page and explained in edit summaries the purpose of the edits. Both are signs of good faith, which by definition means the edits are not vandalism. You may disagree with the edits, but don't call them vandalism if there is no clear intent to degrade the quality of Wikipedia. Pairadox 23:51, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for apologizing to IP76 and retracting the warning; not everybody would do so. As a former IP editor who had to face many, many false accusations myself (somebody even created a barnstar in my honor for dealing with so many[1]), I know how off-putting they can be. My edit to Mayfield High School (Ohio)

[edit]

I'm not sure why my edit to the Mayfield High School (Ohio) page was considered vandalism. I changed the school colors from the incorrect green and white to the correct kelly green and white. I was told that my edit was reverted and that I could be blocked, however when I checked the page my edit was still there. Can you please explain this to me? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.73.169.201 (talk) 19:54, August 29, 2007 (UTC)

Hi Y4kk!

[edit]

Hi Y4kk, I've noticed you around while I'm doing recent changes patrol, and I was wondering if you'd be willing to read something I've written, and give me feedback on it. It is an essay that goes into deeper detail and issues surrounding recent changes patrol, and if you'd be willing to look it over, and give feedback, I'd greatly appreciate it! Just let me know if you have the time, and I'll drop you a link. Cheers! ArielGold 13:51, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

Thanks so much! I wrote this after I was asked to by some folks, following a discussion on the talk page of another essay. I worked with several administrators on it, and now I'm slowly opening this up for public review, thoughts, ideas, etc., with the goal of eventually moving it to WP space, to help newcomers interested in doing recent changes patrol. Thanks for taking a look! Here it is. Archives are in the talk page section, if you'd like to read the early notes bye the admins. ArielGold 14:00, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit]

This appears to be vandalism, but I'll keep it until I get a translation Y4kk 00:08, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
Yep. "Hello. They call me Matan and I'm from Israel. I'm inviting you to come to my country. You can even translate this with a million funny Babylons [ie the software]. My country is the most most most beautiful in the whole world, and it doesn't make a difference what they tell you. Come, it'll be awesome here with us, really. C'mon, I love you guys, all all of you, have a good and blessed week!!!", and signed "Israeli Hunk". Macnas 16:19, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Erm, right. My bad - it should be "million funny Babylons".Macnas 12:19, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
I've added a further explanation of a word in the signature, where I first read your query on the Language RD. Only here do I see that this is part of a Wikipedia user name. Takes all kinds, it seems! -- Deborahjay 14:02, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

AIV

[edit]

Thank you for making a report about 60.234.160.192 (talk · contribs · block log) at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators generally only block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. If this user continues to vandalize after their final warning, please report them to the AIV noticeboard again. Thank you. TigerShark 00:20, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

UAA

[edit]

Thank you for making a report at Wikipedia:Usernames for administrator attention. Unfortunately, your report has been removed due to the username not violating policy, or not being blatant enough for a block. Please remember you should only post blatant infringements on this page. Others should be discussed with the user in question first, using the {{UsernameConcern}} template. A request for comment can be filed if the user disagrees that their name is against the username policy, or has continued to edit after you have expressed your concern. Thank you. — Malcolm (talk) 19:53, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

Hello.

[edit]

I hope your editing is going well. I haven't had any interaction with you in a while. As your adopter, I'd like to be able to work with you some. Do you have any questions, or would you like me to give you some tasks to complete in order to become more familiar in various areas? Let me know. LaraLove 04:09, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

blanking userpages

[edit]

Hi there. I'm not sure if you're aware, but blanking user pages is not a violation of policy, even if it's to remove warnings. In fact, it's considered evidence that the user has seen those warnings. You can find the guideline on it here: WP:USER#Removal_of_warnings  — Timotab Timothy (not Tim dagnabbit!) 20:04, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
