KITH (NYC)

KITH is a boutique and streetwear clothing label based in New York City. KITH establishes its flagship stores in New York City, Brooklyn, Los Angeles and Miami. [1]

KITH was founded by Ronnie Fieg in 2011.[1]Ronnie Fieg started to work at shoe store David.Z since 13 years old. [2]He later became the head buyer for David.Z and got into shoe design industry. Ronnie Fieg created his own retail store KITH in 2010 after doing several collaborations with Asic Tigers and New Balance.

The KITH store sells sneaker brands including New Balance, Nike, adidas, Vans, Asics, Timberland etc. KITH also has its own apparel line as well as multiple collaborations with Mastermind World Japan, Levi's, Tommy Hilfiger, Bergdorf Goodman, Greg Lauren, Mitchell & Ness, Moncler and many other brands or designers. As of now, KITH releases its collaborations projects with other brands and its own apparel line by in-store releasing and online official website.

History

Sneaker designer Ronnie Fieg released his first collaboration sneaker Asics Gel Lyte III in 2005, but did not start his own brand until he found KITH in 2010.[5] KITH's long-term strategy is to collaborate with lesser-known brands to distinguish itself from the hype brands in street culture.

In 2013, KITH started to do pop-up shops in Miami, Florida, and then Paris, São Paulo, Los Angeles, and Tokyo.[6]

KITH first released its own apparel line KITH Classics in 2014.[6]

In 2016, Ronnie Fieg brought KITH's first fashion show Kithland to New York Fashion Week.[7]

In 2018, KITH did its third fashion show KITH Park, presenting new collaborations with Tommy Helfiger, Versace and Greg Lauren etc. [8]

KITH also has its ice-cream shops named KITH TREATS in some of the locations above and Tokyo, Japan.[4]
