- Strong Keep and rename to Death and state funeral of Nelson Mandela, as per Iselilja. While I certainly understand the reason for proposing deleting the article in it's current state it is really premature. The sheer number of quotes, and thus responses from notable people, is indicative of the notability of this event. I am fairly certain that this will be the biggest funeral of the 21st century thus far, possibly even the 20th centenary as well. Based on a quick search the following people have confirmed to be attending the funeral, the US President and his wife, three former US Presidents – Carter, Bush (George W), Clinton and their spouses, and 26 US Congressmen, the Brazilian President, Ms Dilma Rousseff, and four former Heads of State - Sarney, Melo, Cardoso and Lula da Silva[2]. Quen Elizabeth II will not attend to her health, however, Prince Charles will represent the British monarcy.[3] I am currently gather this information to put into the article which should start to address the concerns of those proposing deletion.
