My name is Emma and I'm a researcher and art-historian (with a focus on the 19th and late 18th centuries in England and France) currently working at an art museum. I have a broad range of interests, including military history, English sitcoms and detective shows, football, feminist history and theory, Russian lit, the poetry of T. S. Eliot, W. H. Auden, and Antjie Krog, pottery, and the works of A. S. Byatt.
I want to make Wikipedia friendlier to womxn by creating and expanding articles about historical womxn and/or (proto)feminist figures, particularly womxn of colour and non-Westerners. Though I'm no prescriptivist, I'd also like to edit Wiki articles to get rid of grammatical 'errors' or inconsistencies, awkward phrasing, etc. to help make Wikipedia as encyclopaedic as possible. I'm also interested in working on articles about sub-Saharan Africa(ns).
