Adopt a State
[edit]Most US state articles are in terrible shape, many have only 1 or 2 references and they continually receive vandalism. You can help out by adopting your state. Just add it to your watchlist and at the minimum watch for vandalism.
You can also:
- Add References (most important!) - Most references on any given state can be found for other states so check well references articles such as Minnesota for ideas.
- Do Fact checking
- Become a managing editor - A state article is a lot to write. See if you can find other editors to maintain certain sections.
- Remove spurious or questionable nonsense. Favorite "history", facts of questionable usefulness or truth, outright trivia, etc. should be checked out.
- Create Sub articles (ie Climate of Minnesota)
- Add a better intro
- Do copy editing
- Add pictures
