Sometime during his college year he was known for Sarkar (derived from lead character in Indian Movie Sarkar, who always wanted to run a parallel, efficient and ethical system).

During his Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, Ketan Raval suffered a first big blow in the first year of his university exams. He was failed in 5 out of 9 subjects, which derailed him for a year from college. (The world is different for a First Year detained student when he joins college again.) He juggled, struggled and stumbled during education but every semester ketan leapt ahead. In his final 2 semesters he secured 2nd rank and 3rd rank. It was the first time in college history that student who was failed in 5 of 9 subjects in the first year has got a top number afterward.That was the incident when "sarkar" was enchanted more then ever.

After finishing training in the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, Ketan Raval joined as a Jr. Programmer in a small firm in Ahmadabad, but he had promised himself many years ago that he would have his own business and will dedicate himself in creating more jobs in India. He was against preferring only software engineers in software companies and has always engaged with the people who have no degree or certificate from any school but were capable of doing something new in the IT world.

Finally after 2 years as an employee, Ketan Raval took a risk and quit his job. He opened a small firm LetsNurture with one computer for providing ITeS and IT Outsourcing Sourcing. His firm is working towards only one goal "nurturing more talent" and "creating more jobs". Lets Nurture is well known for hiring people who have no degree or no software background and the company is running successfully with only a single Computer Engineer (Ketan Raval). Recently Ketan Raval has moved to London , United Kingdom to open new outsourcing Center in UK. In 2011, LetsNurture and Ketan Raval are putting efforts in collaborating with public institutions taking care of orphans. LetsNurture will provide free training to orphan graduates which will help them to sail through life easily. India has millions of young talent who were not able to get admission in good institute and ended up with basic degrees or without degrees and Ketan Raval and his firm are focusing on nurturing those talents for a bright future and building a large work force.
