Joseph Stephen Remedios (JSR) Joseph Stephen Remedios fondly known as JSR was the first Indian Managing Director of the thread manufacturing company, Madura Coats. He was born on the 26th of December, 1951 in Asansol, West Bengal.

He graduated from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, and joined Madura Coats as a management trainee.

He passed away on the 4th of September, 2015 at 9:15 PM after a second ischemic stroke.
