James R. Martel (New York, 1965). is Professor of Political Science at San Francisco State University where he teaches He teaches courses in political theory, continental philosophy, anarchism, post-colonial theory and theories of gender and sexuality. He is the author of The Misinterpellated Subject (2017), published by Duke University Press, and most recently, Unburied Bodies: Subversive Corpses and the Authority of the Dead (2018).
