Introduction Hithadhoo School is home to about 900 students comprising grades from 1-10. The school provides its students with quality education through academic, curricular and co-curricular programmes. The school has started its secondary education in 2011. The school was chosen as a pilot school for the new curriculum in grade 1, 2 and 3. School color has been changed to orchid followed by the school uniform at the beginning of 2012. Students of Hithadhoo School are role models in every aspect. One can easily recognize them by their welcoming smile.
History
Hithadhoo School was founded in 1972 by the Atoll Chief of Addu Atoll Mr. Ahmed Solih Ali Didi. At first the School was called Addu English School. It was started as an English medium school. Although formal teaching started on 1st November 1974, the School was officially opened on 18th December 1974 by His Excellency Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom.

We of Hithadhoo School endeavor to decide to promote the principles of Islam, aspirations of our pupils to make them realize their learning potential so that they will grow as responsible individuals with Islamic faith, knowledge and skills to succeed in a competitive society.
