Hello,
I am Rani, an Indian elephant (Elephas maximus indicus). I am a member of the Wikimedia Cuteness Association and a mascot for promoting gender diversity.
My name means "queen" in many Indian languages, has roots in Sanskrit (rājñī) and Latin (rēgīna), and derivative words in many languages spoken across the world: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/regina#Descendants. For example, reina in Spanish and reine in French.
Elephant societies are matriarchal. Establishing gender equity involves much heavy lifting, and I hope that you will be my ally in it.
If you would like to invite me to your event, contact my personal assistant, Rohini.
