Significant battle movement and strategy.

In 1763, British began to enforce more laws that the colonists found unnecessary and unfair. The most important problem was money to support the mother country. Therefore, Britain's attempt to maintain its super power authority in the world at the time, was to create and enforce different laws and acts in the colonies in order to increase profit to support the mother country. Since regulating trade was not enough for Britain, laws such as the Sugar Act, the Stamp Act, and the Townsend Acts were passed to raise money in the colonies. Although the colonists rebelled against these acts, the first continental congress took steps towards independence from Britain, followed by a long, bitter, long awaited battle that would eventually lead to the freedom of the United States from British rule.Although the colonists were at many disadvantages against the large, well trained, army and navy and many loyalists, they still decided to fight with inspiration from leadership from George Washington and many tactical errors from the British army and aide from European countries. Victories at Trenton and Princeton, N.J., in late 1776 and early 1777 restored patriot hopes in actually defeating the mother country. In 1778, the battles shifted to the South. Britain captured Georgia and Charleston, S.C. and defeating an American army at Camden, S.C. But patriots harassed loyalists and disrupted supply lines. In 1781, an American and French defeated the British at Yorktown in the war's last major battle. Major battles of the Revolutionary War include;
