Some Questions and Answers
Since when you are into social work?
What does Social Work mean? It simply implies the works done for the betterment, upliftment and development of the people and the society. I always wanted to serve the society, even before I was introduced to the term 'Society'. Working for the society selflessly gives me incomparable pleasure. Belonging to a business family, I am myself a businessman but a politician and a social worker by heart, since my childhood days. As they say, charity begins at home. Similarly, the foundation stone of my social work was laid at my home itself. During my childhood days, we lived in a joint family and I was the eldest son of the family. Since my family has always been quite active in social work, and the values of a family are reflected in a child’s behavior, so I started imitating the actions of my elders and started helping everyone, not only my younger ones but my elders too, which ultimately became my basic nature. Who's your inspiration?
The People, my Family, Indian Soldiers and the Freedom Fighters. Since childhood, happy faces attracted me while the worried and sad faces made me wonder the reason behind their condition and brought a strong urge inside me to make them happy too. So, working for the people, seeing smiles on their faces and contentment in their hearts brings me immense peace and joy. This is my biggest inspiration. Also, thinking about the sacrifices that our Soldiers make daily in defending the borders of our Nation and remembering the struggle of our great Freedom Fighters due to which each one of us is breathing freely today, gives me an inner strength and inspiration to work for my Nation and the people.
Role of parents, family, friends and society?
As told earlier, my family had sown the seed of social work in me, which is growing into a big tree day-by-day. They have always been a pillar of support for me. Everyone has always stood by my side in every thick and thin. I am grateful to the Almighty for the strength He has provided to me in the form of my great parents, my encouraging wife, my caring children and my always supporting sisters, uncles, aunts and cousins. I can simply say that my late grandparents, my parents, my family, my friends and the society have always stood by me and supported me, my ideas and my decisions.
Message for youth:
Everyone says that Youth are the Future of our Nation. However, I will prefer saying that Youth are both, the Present as well as the Future of our Society and the Nation. They have already started their journey to become the driving forces of tomorrow. The present time of their lives is extremely crucial for them. If they shape their Present well, their Future will automatically shine brightly. So, my message for the youth is simply that focus on your present, live in the present moment, work hard and smart, aim at spreading happiness around you and stay optimistic.
