January 2019 run-in with Wikipedian magistrates
- Sanction:
You are topic-banned from everything related to post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people for three months.
(expires 4/12/2019) - Background: Earnestly attempted to raise to the attention of invested users what I perceived as a clear instance of civil POV-pushing in the area of conservative American politicians, political pundits, and their associated organizations.
- Outcome: Magistrates opined, essentially, that my raising the concern was frivolous; that it was an attempt to win a dispute regarding content; that I was forum-shopping after raising the issue first at AN/I and subsequently at AE (upon the suggestion of two admins--Drmies, TParis--that this was the proper forum); and that there existed "substantial concern about [my] competence in editing in the American politics topic area, i.e., not being able to distinguish between non-neutral and other editing."

- Interesting warning ("heads up") left by an anonymous user on my talk page saying that "the wheels have already been set in motion via emails/IRC channels to ban/block [me] so they don't have to deal with a non-leftist perspective."
