Lalotra Rajput
[edit]The Lalotra Rajput (ललोत्रा राजपूत) are a Rajput clan found mainly in the India. They are Suryavanshi Rajputs, descendants of Lord Rama. The Lalotra's were also found in Sialkot District, and these Lalotra's immigrated to India at the time of the Partition of India. They are a Dogra sub-group.
Rajput are the warriors who are known for their sacrifices and valour in India. They sacrifices their life's for the sake of humanity. Lalotra is one of the Rajput clain who were the successors of lord Rama. Also known as Suryavanshi Rajput of Bhardwaj is a gotra. The history which get from ancestors and from Kuldevi Mata Rai's temple is mentioned below:-
कछवाहा कौम के राजा जो राजपूताना से पंजाब आया जिसने अपने नाम से जम्मू शहर बसाया था l इसकी आने वाली नस्ल को जमवाल कहां जाता है l इनके उत्तराधिकारी राजाओं ने अपनी अपनी बस्तियां बसाई और अपनी बस्तियों के नाम अपने नाम से रखें। जैसे सधहानी ने सांबा, जसदेव ने जसरोटा नाम के शहर को बसाया और उन को अपनी राजधानी बनाया। यहा रहने वाले लोगों को उनकी बस्तियों के नाम से जाना जाता है जैसे सांबा के संबियाल, जसरोटा के जसरोटिया। इनमें से राजा लाल देव जी जोकि दरावल सिंह जसरोटिया की नवमी पीढ़ी का वंशज था। उन्होंने लोइन नाम की बस्ती बसाई, अब यह जगह गैर आबाद शक्ल में मंदिर घगबाल के नजदीक जोकि हीरा नगर के पास जम्मू कश्मीर रियासत में है। इन्हीं राजा लाल देव सिंह जी के वंशज आज ललोत्रा नाम से जाने जाते हैं इन इनकी आबादी बाई नदी के दोनों जो लालोत्रा है वह इन पीढ़ी के वंशज है।.
Genealogy
[edit]The King of Kachhwaha community came from Rajputana who established the Jammu city on his name, and made the city as the capital of his Kingdom whose descendants later known as Jumaal(Jamwal) Community. In this way some rulers of this community inhabited their settlements which later got popular by the same name. In the same the King Sadhani established Samba and his descendants later got to be known as Samyal(Sambyal) community. Likewise King Jasdev established Jasrota whose descendants later got to be known as Jasrotiya community.
The king Laldev of Jasrotiya clan who was the ninth descendant of the king Darbal , established the name of Lion community , now abandoned is located near Gaghbaal temple Tehsil Heera Nagar, District Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir. The remains of this community can still be found over there. The descendants of the King Laldev got to be known as Lalotra Community . This Community lived on both of the banks of Bayi River in the princely state Jammu and Kashmir and according to current India map it is situated in Tehsil Shakargarh District Gurudaspur. The King Laldev who was the ancestor of Lalotra Rajput clan has three sons named 1)Nain Singh, 2)Jasaath Singh and 3)Harsaath Singh. All the three prince later established Naunaath, Jasaath and Harsaath on their names. Presently Lalotra Rajput clan's further descendants of all three of the prince also known as Naunaathiye, Jasaathiye, Harsaathiye names.
Above Genealogy data was collected by Thakur Jaimal Singh S/o Thakur Raseela Ram Jaildaar and Jageerdaar Mauja Khanna Tehsil Shakargarh District Grudaspur in September 1916. To completely find the pedigree of their roots, they have collected data from each and every villager so that rectification of their roots can be easily sorted.
Annual Meet
[edit]Members of the Lalotra tribe get Blessings from their Kuldevi (Mata Rai) meet at Kuldevi temple on the day after Maha Shivratri annually. Kuldevi Mata Rai temple at Village Rai, Tehsil Ghagwal, District Samba(J&K).

Worship
[edit]They also worship Brahma, Sjoyti Mata, Mata Mal, Baba Kaliveer,Baba Siddh Goriya, Baba Nag as their God and Godess. They are the followers of sanatan dharm. They follow the sanatan hindu rituals.
A wrestling competition, Sinj is also organised by Lalotra Rajput.
They are very simple people. Most of them are farmers and live a simple life.
