Sri Raja Kuberar

[edit]

Lord Kuberar comes from family tress of Lord Brahma. He is the son of Vishrava and Illavida. Vishrava also married the demon princess Kaikesi, who mothered four children: Ravana, Kumbhakarna, Vibhishana and Surpanakha. So, Lord Kuberar is also the half-brother of Ravana.

Lord Kuberar, the regent of the North, is also a protector of the world. He is often revered as the owner of all the treasures of the world, including minerals and jewels that can be found underground, plus all the riches that earthlings own as a whole.

Lord Kuberar is also considered the Guardian of Travelers and the Giver of Wealth to his devotees. Sometimes, he is described as Lord Kameshwara and is also invoked along with Shiva at weddings. In a sense, he is associated with fertility. Kuberar is popular outside India and Hinduism as well. He features prominently in both Buddhism and Jainism.

In Buddhism, Kubera is Jambhala or Vaisravana. In Japan, he is Bishamon. Vaisravana, much like Kubera, is also the regent of the North, a loka-pala and the Lord of the Yakshas. He is one of the Four Heavenly Kings, each of whom is associated with one cardinal direction.

According, to the Hindu mythology Raja Kuberar credited money to Lord Srinivasa to meet the expenses of his marriage with Padmavati. Raja Kuberar was there to solve the problems of Lord Srinivasa, do you think worshipping him will reduce our problems? Yes, definitely!

To lead a well blessed life we often visit many temples to offer prayers and remedies instead we should only seek the blessings of Lord Kubera.
