Timothy Hill Children's Ranch is a ranch for troubled boys located in Riverhead, NY. The ranch usually houses around 30 boys between the ages of 13 and 21 that may be homeless and/or have had troubles with the law. It was founded in 1980 by Fern and Jerry Hill, parents of Timothy Hill who tragically passed away in an automobile accident in 1972 at age 13. [1] Timothy had been working multiple jobs in order to raise enough money to buy a ranch and "build a place where homeless kids could live, be loved, feel safe, and have wide open spaces to ride horses." The ranch has since expanded to include multiple locations and a full-time staff, led by executive director, and little brother of Timothy, Thaddaeus Hill. The Ranch is devoted to providing a Christian education and strengthening character of the youth.
