Adam Mitchell is
a professional ice hockey player, currently playing for the Hannover Scorpions in the DEL, the highest professional hockey league in Germany.
Mitchell was born and raised in Port Elgin, Ontario, Canada. After playing for the OHA Jr. B Owen Sound Grey's for 3 seasons, Mitchell attended Colgate University in Hamilton, NY and played for the Colgate Raiders men's hockey team in the NCAA D1 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference. Mitchell was a co-captain of the Raiders from 2003-2005.
Mitchell joined EV Landsberg 2000 of the German Oberliga in the 2005-06 season. Helping Landsberg to the German Oberliga championship in 2006, Mitchell and Landsberg were promoted to the German 2nd Bundesliga beginning in the 2006-07 season. Mitchell earned MVP honours in the Oberliga for the 2005-06 season, after tallying 95 points in 50 games.
Mitchell signed with the Hannover Scorpions of the DEL, Germany's top ice hockey league, for the second half of the 2007-08 season. Mitchell currently plays for the Scorpions, and is one of the team's top offensive players.
