More than you ever wanted to know about this user
[edit]I am a college volleyball athlete, who is the daughter of a state worker and a stay at home mother. I am the middle child with 2 brothers and we're all completely different. I have an obsession with Labrador Retrievers and have a yellow lab and a black lab. I only like cats who are black and white and it's even better if they have white mittens. Also I have a hamster named Nala (like the lion off The Lion King) who loves spin in her wheel and bite. Love to ride horses. Usually my friends and I go horse back riding on my birthday. Zodiac sign is Leo, we're the best.
Majoring in Social Work and Psychology so that I can become a school counselor when I graduate. University of Kentucky Basketball is the best and is my favorite team. Go Cats! In the last year I have had 4 cars (and no it's not my fault on any of them). Mathematics and I do not get a long and i feel that it shouldn't even be a subject, but thats just me.
Softball is my second love after volleyball. I have played about every sport you can imagine so I would consider myself very athletic. Favorite season would have to be fall just because it's not to hot and not to cold. Perfect weather, plus it's volleyball season. My biggest pet peeve would have to be people chewing with their mouth open and people who don't know how to chew gum the right way. I want to move down south when I get older, somewhere like Myrtle Beach because I go there every summer with my family and it never gets old to me. The beach life is great and it's always warm and what's not to like about the beach? I'm obsessed with Sea World and Shamu. If I could, I would apply for a position and drop everything to go and work at the one in Orlanda, Florida. I can't go all day without my phone. It's sad to say, but it is my life.
I have one tattoo, but I want more even though my family is not all for tattoos. I'll just let them be surprised when they see it. Favorite holiday would probably have to be Christmas just because I love all the food and decorations are so pretty. Putting up the tree is one of the best/worse parts because it's fun but a lot of work to do to take it back down. Music is my secret getaway from daily life, it puts me in my place of peace and that's how I get through my days. I can never be upset when listening to my music. I like Coke better than I like Pepsi. Some people can't taste the difference, but I can. I only like to drink soda out of a bottle or a cup. I can't eat my food if it's touching so I always have two plates when eating. That's all just a little bit or more than you wanted to know about me.
Technology at it's best
[edit]I got my first phone when I was in 8th grade at the age of 13 and since that day, my phone has not left my side. It's been attached to my hip since day 1 and I've had my fair share of mini heart attacks when I couldn't find my phone because I thought I had lost it. Such a sad story when my life depends on my phone. I don't think I could have lived back in the day with no cell phones. I now didn't have to use the house phone or my dads cell phone to call my friends. I had my own and I thought I was something special.
I had gotten my first laptop for my 8th grade graduation and now in college, my laptop has become my lifesaver with writing papers and doing homework online. So you could say technology and I have a very special bond. I need her and she helps me.
Whenever I need something answered I use my phone to find the answer for me. Since getting and iPhone 5s, i use Siri to find places, give directions, ask questions, and more and Siri does it all for me. When I need the score to a game, Siri has my back on it. I love my phone more than I like people and more than I probably should. It's unhealthy.
It is sad to think that 6 year olds are having phones now, and iPhones at that. Time is changing with technology and it has its advantages and disadvantages but we all need technology in our lives today whether it's with school or a job. Now a days jobs are requiring you have some computer skills and in schools we now have computer classes to teach how to use the computer for job like experiences such as writing a resume.
Is Wikipedia the best choice?
[edit]I'm not going to lie, whenever I have to write a paper, Wikipedia is probably always one of the first pages I go to to find my information, but not all of wikipedia pages can be useful. Anyone and everyone can make a wikipedia page and write just about anything they want to on it. It's not that Wikipedia is all wrong, some people just create accounts on write false information on a topic.
You never know what you're going to get when you come on the site. You could either get all false information, some false information, or all true information. The author could give you a full page of facts or a sentence of false information. Just have to read the article and watch what people have to say about the topic.
Me personally, I like Wikipedia. It hasn't let me down yet. It's easy as 1, 2, 3 to make a Wikipedia page. Anyone can make one, just like myself. I'm clueless when it comes to making your own page, but clearly I underestimated myself. I used to think you had to be a genius to make your own but obviously an idiot can make one too. There's just a difference between a geniuses writings and an idiots writings. You can always tell who took the time to write the article and who just was lazy. You can tell the difference between someone who feels passionate about the topic to someone who could care less and just wrote it for the fun of it. Hence why the site is called "Wikipedia: The "Free" Encyclopedia.
I have yet to come across a page where the facts were just completely wrong and until that day comes, I will continue to use Wikipedia as a source for research papers and more.
