Rats Brains and Microchips is the third studio album by American punk band Lost Sounds. It was released on November 23, 2004 by Empty Records, as their second and final album with the label.

Background

[edit]

The whole album was recorded digitally on Tronic Graveyard in 2002, and at its release, helped advance Lost Sounds' popularity, with an increased income in tours and merchandise. The album ended up as their final album with Empty due to competition with record labels wanting to sign Lost Sounds, including John Reis, founder of Swami Records, who wanted to produce an album with the band. The band would later end up doing a whole tour with Rocket from the Crypt, one of Reis' bands.[1]
