I decided to compare the English page on punk rock music to the Swedish punk rock article. The reason I chose to compare the Swedish translation was because I was aware that there has been a vital punk music scene in Sweden since the early 1980s.
The English punk rock article is very long and in depth, delving into many different points of discussion. This includes the influences and history of punk rock, leading into all different kinds of subgenres as well as the culture and ideology associated with punk music. Also, since punk rock has become a worldwide phenomenon, the English article covers punk rock from many different countries all over the world. However, the Swedish article gives a brief paragraph about the music's history in the US and England, but then focuses mainly on the punk rock that has come out of Sweden.
This comparison doesn't necessarily deviate from what I expected. In fact, I'm glad that the Swedish article has a lot of information about punk rock from their country. I guess what I wasn't expecting was how minimal the content about punk rock was outside of Sweden in the Swedish article.--Eng395jy (talk) 16:28, 25 March 2013 (UTC)
