For my second article, I wanted to compare an article that was not native to either cultures to see the comparisons and differences between them. In this case, I chose the Brown palm civet in English and Spanish. Since these animals are only native to a small portion of India. I wanted to see how the two articles would compare, as neither of them would be "experts" on them due to their demographic relationship between where the animal inhabits. Though, in general, I would expect the articles to be somewhat similar to each other.

Both articles have sections that discuss where the animal originated, the description of the animal, and their behaviors. However, the English article has more information overall and has more topics such as behavior and conservation. It also seems that there were more editors working on the English one than the Spanish one. Out of the top 5 contributors only 1 of them was a bot in the English one. On the other hand, 3 out of 5 were bots in the Spanish article.

What surprised me was that while both articles seem to agree in origin and color description, their numbers are slightly different from each other. The English article claims that they weigh between 3.6-4.3kg while the Spanish article claims it is between 2.4-4kg. The head and body length on the English article was between 430-620mm while the Spanish article says 480 to 590 mm. Finally, the tail length in the English article was from 380 to 530 mm and the Spanish article was 400 to 535 mm.

After careful inspection it was discovered that the English article had way more sources than the Spanish one. The Spanish article only has three sources and one of them dated back to as far as 1939. What was interesting though, was the fact that two sources from the Spanish article was also in the English article, and that both of those sources were in English. So it could be a possibility that the Spanish article had some information directly translated from the English article. But the cause of information differing could be due to mistranslations or use of the third source.
