The 2017–18 UAF Champions League is the third season of the proposed UAF Champions League, formed by the proposed merger of CONCACAF and CONMEBOL.

Teams

24 teams directly qualify for the group stages of the tournament. Of the 24 clubs, 15 come from South America, 8 from North America, and 1 from the Caribbean. Of the 8 clubs that qualify through qualifying rounds, four come from South America and four come from North America.

Caribbean

The qualification is determined through the 2017 CFU Champions League. The winner of the tournament qualifies directly for group stage. The semifinalist teams enter in the qualifying rounds.

North America

The qualification is determined through domestic performances. Of the 8 direct group stage berths: 2 Mexico, 2 United States, 1 Costa Rica, 1 Honduras, 1 Canada, and 1 from Panama.

South America

The qualification is determined through domestic performances. Of the 15 direct group stage berths: 3 Brazil, 3 Argentina, 2 Chile, 2 Colombia, 2 Uruguay, 1 Paraguay, 1 Peru, 1 Ecuador. Bolivia and Venezuela does not have direct group stage berths. Guyana, Suriname, and the French Guiana play in CFU qualifiers.
