The 2016 Big West Conference Men's Soccer Tournament, was the 11th edition of the tournament. It determined the Big West Conference's automatic berth into the 2016 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship.
The Cal State Northridge Matadors won Big West title, besting the Cal State Fullerton, 2–1 in the championship match.[1][2] It was Northridge's second Big West title, and their first since 2012.[3]
The tournament matches were hosted at the higher seed, meaning that the final was held at Matador Soccer Field on the campus of California State University, Northridge.[4]
Qualification
[edit]Six teams qualified for the tournament. The winners of the North and South Division received a bye to the semifinals of the tournament. The division runners-up hosted the third place finisher of the opposite division in the opening round of the tournament.[4]

The Big West Men's Soccer Tournament shall include the top three teams from each division for a total of six teams. The first round shall feature each division's No. 2 team hosting the third-place team from the opposite division, while each division's No. 1 team receives a bye.
