- Immigration California Population
- Overview of census data of immigrants in California, particularly in agriculture; maybe differentiate between migrant workers and undocumented workers? Data should summarize the changes in percentages of farm workers that are immigrants over the years.
- Population in Agriculture
- Impacts on Economy
- We plan gather data that correlates the population of immigrants in California with success of California’s agricultural economy. The data may or may not find an economic impact.
- Trump Administration Proposals Impacts
- With a new administration comes new proposals and with the Trump Admin we have been seeing a stricter force on immigration regulation and policing. Given the data, will this cause a concern on the California economy relying highly on agriculture?
- Immigration Working Conditions (environmental justice)
- Health
- In regards to certain exposures to chemicals, pesticides raise concerns that immigrants, being a large part of the workforce, are more likely to face illnesses because of their field of work.
- Wage
- Are immigrants being paid a livable wage? Do they have benefits? Are the employees following California laws and protocols?
