Destruct is punk rock band from Los Angeles, California formed in 2004. In the current wave of the Hardcore/Punk Scene they are known for being one the only punk bands to tour the USA, EUROPE & MEXICO before signing to any record label. It is this DIY attitude and drive that has gained them exposure, respect and notability as being part of the modern pioneers of the hardcore punk genre.
HISTORY
Destruct was formed in 2004 by Joe Destruct, Byron Sinn, Alan Serrano & Antwon Diasaster. The band has went on to perform both nation wide and internationally with punk acts such as:
Discharge, Battalion Of Saints, The Casualties,UK Subs, Cheap Sex, Funeral Dress, The Dickes, A Global Threat, The Havoc, M.D.C., Lower Class Brats, Clit 45, Obtrusive, Monster Squad,
Career Soldiers, The Scarred, The Restarts & many more. Thriving off the spirit and sound of UK 82 they have evolved into a unique brand of Hardcore Punk. With members who study music
proffesionally they have a very mature sound of playing Hardcore Punk Rock including complex formula's, unique writing styles and have come a long way from the traditional 3 chord verse,
chorus, verse, chorus punk formula that was popularized in the first wave of punk rock. Tackling both personal and socio-politcal lyrical subjects they are a deffinte progressive band
with a cause for change.
Members of Destruct have also played in other well known punk bands. Joe Destruct played in TOTAL CHAOS. Byron Sinn played for THE SCARRED. Alan Serrano played for NASTALJA.
