User:Pseudo Intellectual
For five years, I ate, drank, breathed, slept and dreamed of my continual preoccupation with my contribution to Wikipedia's red-headed bastard stepsister Everything (and then Everything2); took a year off to regain sanity, remember the colour of the sky, &c, following getting fed up with inconsistent application of administrative policy (or: "Why can't anyone tell me what happened to five years of my nodeshells?"). (Not so naive as to expect different treatment here with orders of magnitude more admins; instead, after getting my self-indulgent writing tendencies tenderised a bit by the admins at Mobygames, I'm far less personally invested into my contributions here, more concerned with setting the story straight, reflecting my personal experience, ensuring the survival of the most fascinating or cogent details or nuances... but mostly with making small grammar, spelling and punctuation edits. Let someone else stick their neck out -- I was bold five years ago and see where it got me!)
Because a userpage is not the place for a bitter tirade, let us briskly move along; I shall strive to maintain this userpage as an extreme contrast to my Everything2 "homenode" by keeping it in trim fighting form. Thus, I now present to you... how to contact me:
(well, all this time down the line, the only still-valid method is my burner e-mail address at pseudo_intellectual@hotmail.com)
Alternately, you are of course welcome and encouraged to drop me a line here on my user talk page. There's a very good chance that any other "Pseudo_Intellectual"s, "UnwashedMass"es or "Reluctance"s you find out there are also me. "Cthulu" lowers your odds, while "Rowan Lipkovits" virtually cements them -- Slavs and Celts have not yet sufficiently culturally mingled to provide me with a pair of names that is anything other than unique.
I would say: "if you like my writing here and would like to read more of it", but if you notice my style at all, as with a movie soundtrack, I am likely failing as an objective, POV-less Wikipedian. That said, I maintain a LiveJournal and contribute to the MobyGames database (computer and video games will likely remain a primary focus here).
Thanks (fer nuthin!) to RaD Man for tricking me back on here to clean up the entry on my ten-years-irrelevant ANSI art group Mistigris. While I'm here I'll just tidy up a bit of this and that, and... oh, drat.
