I chose this name because Prometheus is such a powerful role model. Whether in Aeschylus' "Prometheus Bound", in the fragmentary remains of his "Prometheus Unbound", or in the modern plays and poems that honour the Titan-Firebringer, he is always unbowed by cowardice, or by self-pity at the hideous (and hideously unjust) fate that has been thrust upon him.
