Prof G.K.Pradhan (1958) is an alumni of IIT(Indian School of Mines) of 1980 batch of Mining Engineering and holds Ph.D from VNIT-Nagpur. Worked in SAIL Mines, IBP Co. Ltd, IndianOil, PCRA(under Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas), before joining as Professor of Mining Engineering at AKS University(Satna, MP) in 2013. He is also the Dean of Faculty of Engineering & Technology. Authored five books in Mining and his most popular book ‘Explosives & Blasting Techniques’ which is in its 4th edition. Recipient of National Design Award instituted by Institution of Engineers(India) and most coveted National Geoscience Award of Govt. of India. Travelled widely is having expertise in use of explosives, rock excavation, mines safety, surface miners, and Energy Conservation. He held the position of Chief Regional Coordinator of Eastern India at PCRA and also was selected by Biju Patnaik University of Technology and several overseas Universities as Professor of Mining Engineering. Actively engaged in teaching, research and his client are HINDALCO, Utkal Alumina, Mines of NMDC, Cement Plant Mines, Ambani cements, Trencor USA, JSW, and others. Also holds special classes for mining engineers and managers as a paret of their Career Development in Mining.
