Almost there

Well, I decided to make a user page made of all pictures, and then put all the pictures together and link the certain ones I need to for a new user page. <a href="http://img182.imageshack.us/img182/8844/sunsetuserpageyk4.jpg">This</a>is what my page is supposed to be like. I divided it all up into sections so it would work out, and they can be found on my Sandbox. I have it perfect, except I cannot get them in the right spot, I have no idea what the code is to use to have an image be at the top, middle, or bottom of the page. If it's easy enough to just give me the three codes, just put them in my talk page and I'll see if I can make it, but if it's more complicated or something, could you code it so it looks right? The code seems like it would work, except on the whole image when you roll over it with the mouse it goes to the text symbol(when typing the "double sided T") , and the link won't work. I'm not sure if it has something to do with the internet browser, but thats what I'm thinking what is wrong.

I figured it out, I just had to make it again so the text wasn't in the middle. The image works now, all I need is to link the pictures to the right pages, but I can't seem to do it. No need to remove original text in copyright dispute, IMO

Hi Prodego. Thanks for your help with the John Gorenfeld article. However the text that you removed was not the same as the disputed text. It was a completely new article which had been written to replace it. There is also a dispute going out asking that the whole article be deleted. Rules for resolution of alleged copyright infringement

I'm not overly concerned about the article in question (John Gorenfeld), but I'm quite curious about what you seem to be saying is a Wikipedia policy that makes absolutely no sense to me. I'm what might be called a "sophomore" on Wikipedia, not "experienced" yet but a little bolder than as a newcomer, so more likely to make mistakes, yet people think it's okay to bite me now since I'm no longer a newcomer. (I actually think this is a problem on Wikipedia; I almost quit as a result.) Anyway, you said the copyvio notice has to stay on the article for 7 days. Hypothetically, if a notice was placed just to hassle someone, or, alternatively - as seems to be the case with John Gorenfeld - a questionable allegation was rendered completly baseless by making a few changes the first day, how could anyone think that something constructive is to be gained by requiring a copyvio notice to remain in place for 7 days? I really am just curious about what seems to be a ridiculous rule, while most Wikipedia policies and guidelines seem to have been thoroughly discussed with very reasonable end results. If you'd like to point me to the rationale, or comment here (I'm "watching" the page for now) or on the Talk:John Gorenfeld page, I'd appreciate it. Thanks. -Exucmember 06:58, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

repeated approvals (VP)

Looking at this page I'm surprised that several times it seems I'm approving the same user multiple times. But there's only one welcome message (and I only Update List after welcoming) for the users. Yeah, most of the time I just open VP, add the users with more than 250, notify, hit Done in that window, Update list, Close, then exit VP. --froth^T 20:16, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

Sorry for the late reply, I've been on vacation. All the photos I want to upload are photos I have taken. Would I have to be concernec with fair use when uploading these?

Some are of natural things like mountains, national parks, etc. Others are pictures of cars and other random things I have come across in my travels.

Sorry its been a while ive been busy with work. Ill get on those photos when things slow down.

I thought you all might like to know that Seand59, who edited the Free Republic article a few hours ago (and was immediately blocked indefinitely for impersonating a Wikimedia staff member), is now known as Carolyn-WMF. Her account has been unblocked by Danny. She really does work for the Wikimedia Foundation.

The article at AmericanPolitics.com that was allegedly written by TJ Walker does not exist. Click on the link you provided. It's a blank page. I believe that Wikipedia has been the victims of a carefully crafted hoax. I contacted TJ Walker and asked him whether he authored the article. He said, "Of course not." He contacted AmericanPolitics.com and asked them to remove the article from their website. They complied immediately. Dino 21:28, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
