I am just trying to get a word going here! :(
I came up with this word a while ago, and have been using it with my friends. If anyone comes across this word, it would be cool to be able to send them to wikipedia and have them look it up! Please take this page into consideration :( —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mutinyishell (talk • contribs)
So does that mean it is gone? is that the end of it then? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mutinyishell (talk • contribs)
Is there anyway for my page to not be deleted? Any one at all?
—Preceding unsigned comment added by Mutinyishell (talk • contribs)
bummer.....
I figured you were going to say that. I didn't have an account until a few hours ago, but i did do the Einsatzkommando page and plan on doing some more editing of it. This doesn't change what I will do, just that im bummed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mutinyishell (talk • contribs)
Thank you
For the help with the vandal spamming my User talk page -:) SirIsaacBrock 02:49, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
- Hello, further to your comment on my user talk page, this individual is a sock puppet, they have been trying to remove this +cat over and over again. Cordially SirIsaacBrock 02:51, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
- Please read the article for citations, which is all that is required to be included in the +cat. Cordially SirIsaacBrock 02:55, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
Anti-Israel is not anti-Semitic
The source you provided does not label the president of Iran as an anti-semite. the category reflects nothing more than the opinion of a few bigoted Wikipedians.--68.214.58.161 03:06, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
Categories are prone to editing just like evrything else. Dont make up rules. Who is the arbiter of the anti-semitism category? --68.214.58.161 03:08, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
My point is that that categories are supposed to reflect facts, not opinions. A fcat is a year of birth or membership in an organization like the Republican Party. Whose opinion is reflected when the accusation of anti-semitism is applied to an individual? Is this the ADL's opinion? Wikipedia's opinion? Some individual Wikipedia editor's opinion? A consensus of editors that decide that the president of IRan is an anti-semite. How very unencyclopedic. What next? Category; Unpopular people. or category; People whose opinions I disagree with. ?? --68.214.58.161 03:14, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
AWB Approval
Hello, I see that you approved two requests for AWB inclusion. I have over 500; was mine approved? I didn't see any way of verifying this. If there is; how is this done? Pardon my ignorance. Thanks FrankWilliams 13:06, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
Thanks. Appreciate you looking into this. I'll notify when I reach 500. FrankWilliams 14:32, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
Jimmy Wales
I did a hard refresh and it is still there. It doesnt seem to be a normal vandalism, can you see it too or is it just my PC? Davard
thanks.Davard
Looks like another vandal deleted the Category:Anti-Semitic people probably a sock puppet, do you want to deal with it? I will be in violation of the 3RR rule. Cordially SirIsaacBrock 20:06, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
Hi, Probably best to just delete the red links. Thanks. Dannyisme 02:38, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
Thanks! :-) Dannyisme 02:48, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
AWB
Do not worry about it. After reading that page about signatures, I will stop using a template on my signature. I though that it would be better in order to reduce the code that is written, but I have seen that it has more problems than benefits. Thank you!--SMP - talk page (en) - talk page (ca) 16:09, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
Dumb Question?
I'm a relatively new-ish editor. I would like to find out what to do about vandalism and such, and you seem like someone to ask. I know the basics of editing, but not how to deal with issues and idiots. Help? Chercher E. 19:48, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
Vandal intervention - 198.54.202.146
Sorry if my message there confused you, but anon has vandalised Stena Line twice within the last half an hour and been blocked 3 times within the last week for linkspamming that page with a link that appears to have a phishing element to it (he changes official link by one letter to point to fake site) - Perhaps this situation requires something other than a lot of 24h blocks, but my post to Administrator intervention against vandalism was not in response to an old piece of vandalism. SFC9394 22:05, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
- Fair enough, I appreciate that it is a shared IP, but the vandal isn't going anywhere - is there something than can be done long term to stop him/her constantly attempting to use WP as a possible phishing tool? A list of blocked external links which the wikimedia software automatically refuses to accept or some such. It does worry me slightly that people browsing by here could end up at potentially a scam site as a result of spammers hiding in shared IP space which we can do nothing about as things stand. SFC9394 22:21, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
- Cheers for the link, I will post a summary of the situation on meta and see if a sysop there thinks that it is a valid request. SFC9394 22:49, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

User tests
I do think I'd rather leave my user page fully unprotected. It's only used by me and so I'm the only one inconvenienced. Now the person who I have unfortunately annoyed has turned his attention to my user talk, which is a public resource within the community.
Let me suggest that we handle this to minimize unintended consequences and flame creep. Please unprotect my user page and, at the same time, semi-protect my user talk. That may divert the offended party to the appropriate target once more. The next time you're free, then please unprotect my user talk; I wouldn't want to be unavailable to new editors.
I have often wondered if there was any need to ask for admin status; there's plenty to do without those tools. Now I see a reason to ask for the mop: so I can clean up around my own corner. Embarassing to ask for help. John Reid 16:08, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
Vandal
Please take care of this vandal: user:Mjaber
He is constantly vandalizing the page Qana shelling, which I stumbled across. — ßottesiηi Tell me what's up 20:20, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
- Not only that, he has re-created a previously deleted article (i think). You removed the image from it. I wish i could just deal with these guys myself. I mean, I do mostly welcoming committee stuff and reverting one time vandalism, but its frustrating to be powerless in a fight with a die-hard vandal. Thanks. — ßottesiηi Tell me what's up 20:29, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
- If that is a recreated article, it was not located at The Qana Massacre, that page has not been deleted before. If you think it should be deleted, list it on WP:AFD. Prodego talk 20:31, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
- He's at it again under his username now. And he re-uploaded that image. — ßottesiηi Tell me what's up 20:50, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
Image
Kind of forgot to respond, but, yeah, I agree with you. The image shouldn't have been reuploaded. Your deletion was correct. Pepsidrinka 22:32, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
Just to say thanks for your fast approval to use the above. Downloading time...
