Paramesh Sivamani, PTM, TM is a serving Flag Officer of the Indian Coast Guard. He currently serves as the 26th Director General of the Indian Coast Guard (ICG).

Career
Paramesh Sivamani joined Indian coast Guard in July 1989. The Flag Officer, during his illustrious career spanning over three and a half decades has served in various capacities in ashore and afloat appointments. The officer's professional history is studded with achievements and a proven track record of outstanding and meritorious performance in all assignments that he has held. DG Paramesh Sivamani is specialized in Navigation and Direction and his sea commands include all major vessels of the Indian Coast Guard which include Advanced Offshore Patrol Vessel Samar and Offshore Patrol Vessel Vishwast.
The Flag Officer was at the helm of Coast Guard Region (East), Coast Guard Region (West) and Coast Guard Commander (Eastern Seaboard). The Flag Officer is an alumnus of the National Defence College, New Delhi and Defence Services Staff College, Wellington.
Elevation to the Rank of Additional Director General
He was elevated to the rank of Additional Director General in September 2022 and was subsequently posted at Coast Guard Headquarters, New Delhi as Additional Director General Coast Guard. He was given the additional charge of Director General Coast Guard in Aug 2024, before assuming the charge as Director General Coast Guard. During the period, many significant operations and exercises were accomplished that includes the seizure of drugs/narcotic substances and gold worth crores of rupees, rescue of mariners during severe cyclonic storms, joint exercises with the Foreign Coast Guards, anti-poaching operations, humanitarian assistance during cyclones/ naturals calamities and Coastal Security exercises.
Awards and Decorations
The Flag Officer was conferred with Tatrakshak Medal in 2014 and President Tatrakshak Medal in 2019 for his illustrious service. He was also awarded the Director General Coast Guard Commendation in 2012 and FOCINC (East) Commendation in 2009.
Personal Life
The Flag Officer is married to Smt Priya and they have a son Pranav.
