Jeckonia Dimbulukweni Hamukoto is a Namibian and an oshiwambo speaker. He is a former nurse that has been accused of a triple murder by Judge Nate Ndauendapo. In 2007 at a bar in a windhoek suberb, Katutura, he accused people in a bar that 1 of them had stolen his phone. He allegedly took out a pistol and started firing shots in the bar, the shots killed 3 people and wounded 3 others. He was charged with 3 counts of murder,3 counts of attempted murder, and a count of pointing a firearm in a public place. He has received a record sentencing of 90 years, the highest ever in Namibia. He got 10 years for every person he killed as well as 10 years for every attempted murder plus 1year imprisonment for a charge of pointing a firearm in a public place. The judge ruled that each of the 10 years will be served concurrently with the 30 years imposed on counts 1,2 and 3. In total Hamukoto will serve a prison term of 90 years. He was sentenced in the Winhoek High court on September 28. He is 40 years old and by the time he is released he will be 120 years old, very unlikely he will be alive to walk a free man at 120 years but its still possible.
