Hello and welcome to my user page. I'm from the Netherlands, and have lived there my entire life, so excuse my English, may it be wrong at times. My (amateur) interests lie in etymology, linguistics and whatnot. I'm mostly active on Wiktionary, but will sometimes end up making edits here, still mostly related to languages and sounds.

These are all the languages I have some sort of knowledge of.

I am able to comfortably converse in both Dutch and Dunglish.

German is quite doable, French I can read fairly well.

I can understand the Cyrillic and Greek script and can get around with runics (especially Elder Futhark) and Gothic writing.

Other mildly interesting things

• Basically all my contributions will be from amateur knowledge, but I make sure to do my research very well.
• I taught myself written Haags dialect, though I have nothing to do with that city and only been there once.
• Stamppot is the best food around.
• I play association football, love logging and run at times to keep myself healthy.
• I cannot in good faith make edits without playing 70's or 80's music on the background, it just doesn't work, both mentally and physically.
