Native American Indian Dog The "Native American Indian Dog," or NAID, is a designer breed that is registered with the National Kennel Club.[1]
Purpose
[edit]The NAID has been selectively bred in America to exhibit the qualities displayed by the dogs owned by Native American Indians prior to cross-breeding with European dogs.[citation needed]
Registration
[edit]The NAID breed is registered with the National Kennel Club, but not the American Kennel Club.
Compared to more established breeds, few authoritative references are available for the NAID. Although the NKC lists the NAID among their registered breeds, 'at the time of this writing', the site does not provide any additional information (as it does for other breeds).
