Pottero (Jacek Stankiewicz, born on May 15, 1987 in Jastrzębie-Zdrój) – Polish user of Wikipedia, raised in Rybnik, where I live and work for now. A graduate of information management in the IV Liceum Profilowane in Rybnik, would-be graduate of Japanese studies in Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology in Warsaw.

About me

I love good movies (i.e. Pulp Fiction, The Godfather, Fucking Åmål and films by Akira Kurosawa), and horror movies in every possible form, with particular emphasis on B movies. I am interested in Japan and everything related to Japan. Besides movies, I also like TV series – from Teen Wolf and The Vampire Diaries to Game of Thrones and South Park. My greatest passion are video games and I spend most of my free time playing video games. Although I like shooters, cRPGs and action games the most, I play all the genres that I find interesting. I used to think of myself as PC Master Race but now I play mainly on PlayStation 5 and Xbox 360. My passion is also Polish dubbing and its history. In my spare time, I used to write reviews and texts for websites and niche Polish magazines. My texts have been published, among others, in Filmweb, Tanuki.pl, Nerdheim.pl, Otaku and Coś na Progu.

My goal, in addition to mastering English perfectly (which, despite twelve years of schooling, will never happen), is to learn – at least at basic level – Spanish, Italian and Russian. For now, I gained less than basic knowledge of these languages thanks to t.A.T.u., Assassin’s Creed video games and Duolingo.

My activity on Wikipedia

I have a very basic knowledge of English. Due to watching, reading and playing movies, video games and books in English, I can translate almost perfectly from English to Polish language but I can’t do it the other way ‘cause I don’t use English on a daily basis. For this reason, my presence on English Wikipedia is almost non-existent. To be honest, thanks to the Polish education system, I don’t even know the basic rules of English punctuation. Nevertheless, several articles translated by me from English has been awarded as “Good Articles” in Polish Wikipedia:
