I use the name Pookerella which is a combination of Pookie and Cinderella. I created it in 1980, and when I entered the world of the Internet, I used it as my handle. Several people have stolen it, but as far as I know I was the first to ever use it.

Many people think Pookie is taken from Winnie-the-Pooh; it may mean that for others, but for me, it’s the little lion puppet called Pookie that Soupy Sales used in his TV show in the 1960s. It’s all part of the nuttiness with which I grew up thanks to WNEW-TV children’s programming which included the nutty Sandy Becker and sarcastic Sonny Fox.
