Ponciano da Costa de Jesus is a CEO and founder of the Association of Geographic Information System Group (G-SIG) in Timor-Leste. Through G-SIG, Ponciano is dedicated to strengthening and sharing geospatial information related to environmental risks, climate change, natural disasters, and natural resource management in Timor-Leste. He actively contributes to the global open mapping community, promoting the use of OpenStreetMap for disaster management and preparedness in Timor-Leste through OpenStreetMap Timor-Leste and G-SIG.
