What is Poetic Black?
Poetic (poh-et-ik) Black (blak) is an underground Hip hop group based out of San Diego, California. Members include Raymond "Lo-Key" Tucker, Terrell "T. Jay" Jackson, and Dishawn "Slick" Lewis. With a respective background of New York, Lousianna, and Texas, Poetic Black delivers a unique sound filled with life. With songs ranging from situational mishaps; such as needing to charge one's phone, to the acknowledgement of their blessings, Poetic Black covers a large spectrum of topics.
Poetic Black's mission is the expression of life through music, which covers everything inbetween anger and happiness. Their promise is quality music and are devoted to keeping their committment alive. Poetic Black dreams and plans on becoming a well known, respected, favored, and benolevent entity in the music business.
With their combined skills and strength, Poetic Black aims to make themselves a house-hold name amongst the likes of Jay-Z, Run-DMC, Lil Wayne, Ice Cube, Scarface, Three 6 Mafia, Eminem, Russell Simmons and all the other legends in the business.
