Short Bio for Maosheng Yao, Peking University
Prof. Maosheng Yao obtained his PhD in Environmental Science from Rutgers University in 2006, and performed one year postdoctoral work in Environmental Engineering at Yale University afterwards. In August, 2007, he joined Peking University via “100 Scholar Program”. His main research interests include bioaerosol sampling, quantification, detection, exposure assessment, inactivation and its atmospheric movement and roles in climate change. Currently, he has authored and co-authored 38 peer-reviewed journal articles with 29 published and 9 in review, and submitted 4 Chinese national patents. In 2008, his lab spearheaded the infectious diseases monitoring work in Sichuan earthquake affected areas and received wide recognition. Over the past three years, his lab, despite of young, made great strides in bioaerosol fields.
