This user has publicly declared that they have a conflict of interest regarding the Wikipedia article Chris Skinner (singer).

Explanation of conflict of interest

I am personally acquainted with the subject of the article I created. I nevertheless created the article on the basis that I and others believe that Chris Skinner meets notability requirements and should be included in Wikipedia. I have taken on the task of drafting the article because I have the sort of training and skills (postgraduate history, law degree, academic publishing) to do so in a way that I believe can satisfy encyclopedic requirements, including a neutral authorial point of view.

Note that I am not a member of the Marist order, or even religious for that matter, or even a "fan" of Chris Skinner's music, though I freely acknowledge none of that resolves the conflict of interest of knowing the man. But my reasons for drafting are based on the fact that I believe he is nevertheless noteworthy enough in the New Zealand music scene for inclusion in Wikipedia, not to promote his work.
