International College of Management, Sydney

The International College of Management, Sydney (ICMS) was established in 1996 and now has an enrolment of over 1200 students from more than 60 different countries. The ICMS campus is situated on Sydney Harbour's North Head on St Patrick's Estate overlooking Manly Beach. The historic site is surrounded by 20 hectares of parklands and has extensive campus facilities.

The building which houses ICMS was originally built in 1885 as St Patricks seminary. The building is made from stone initially quarried from North Head with the finer stone coming from Pyrmont by boat. The extensive timbers used in its construction are predominantly Kauri Pine and Australian Cedar. Gothic in style with Spanish flavour, the College stands at four storeys high with a six level central bell tower and covers 60,000 square feet Programs

In partnership with Macquarie University ICMS offers Diplomas, Associate Degrees program and Bachelor’s Degrees in;

-Hospitality Management -Event Management -International Tourism -Property Services Management -Retail Services Management -Sports Management

Students studying at ICMS can also complete a Macquarie University Masters Degree in International Business or Commerce.

ICMS is affiliated with the hotel school “César Ritz” in Switzerland,and "Queenstown Resort College". Students at ICMS have the opportunity to study abroad at either the "Cesar Ritz", "Queenstown Resort College" or go on exchange to the United States of America.

ICMS has won many awards in the last decade. Most recently, ICMS was winner of the 2007 Australian Tourism Award for Excellence in Tourism Education & Training and the 2006 Premiers Export Award for Education.

The ICMS teaching style learning combines practical work with a strong theoretical foundation. Every undergraduate program includes nine months of paid industry training. Students have or are currently completing their industry training at The Hilton Sydney, Four Seasons, Shangri-la, Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, Swain Tours, Captain Cook Cruises, Manly Sea Eagles, Multiplex, David Jones and Myers just to name a few.

Student Life ICMS offers a variety of different activities for both domestic and international students. These activities include Sky diving, Hunter Valley wine trip, Ski trip and Basketball competitions just to name a few.

Meals are provided to all on-campus students, who also have access to computers 24/7, unlimited internet, as well as being in close proximity to classes and the newly refurbished student refectory, “The Sandbar”. Students also have access to the College tennis court, as well as a wide variety of recreational activities and sporting equipment, not to mention Manly Beach, which is within walking distance.

Residential Fees at ICMS include accommodation, unlimited access to the Colleges sporting and recreational facilities and all meals 7 days a week.

85% of the College’s accommodation is in single rooms. Allocation of rooms is done on a first-come, first served basis. Rooms are equipped with desk/study facilities, heating and personal phones with voicemail and have all linen provided. Each floor is equipped with common bathrooms, toilets, iron and ironing board, and a kitchenette you can use to make a quick snack.
