The Victory day is a great celebrating every year. But 2020 became the year of surprises. Event of Jubilee of 75 anniversary in Russia and almost all former republics of Soviet Union was delayed due to epidemic of COVID-19. Belarus and Turkmenistan were the only nations to hold the event on 9th may. Regardless unavoidable circumstances such a great data cannot be forgotten. So additionally, to annual parade many projects were presented to the public.
The point of monuments is to remember events, people, and heroes, that must not be forgotten. There are a lot of monuments dedicated to the Great Victory day. Rzhev memorial is not about the place. It is about people, about every soldier who was part of the most terrible war in XX century. But Rzhev was not an accidental choice. There was the bloodiest battle. This city deservedly bears the title of Hero-Place. The memorial to the Soviet Soldier is a huge statue of a hero, whose gaze is directed to the hands of the fallen soldiers, which do not allow him to fall. On the road, that leads to the mound, there are many lights with images of killed in actions during the battle men. This monumental complex represents the glory and bravery, strength and love of those, thanks to who there is a clear sky above.
Any form of art allows people to honor the memory. Theatrical performances are the places that makes every spectator part of the performance. Sverdlovsk theatre of the musical comedy presented “Watch me, beloved”, that was created originally to 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. It tells the story about four musicians, who was fighting for the peace.
Also, it was always important to introduce a young generation to such a significant event. So annually government hold festivals and performance to hep youth communicate with history. “Night of art” was not ordinary in 2020. It was thematical contest dedicated to 75th anniversary.
It is always presumed, that people are thankful for peace given them by millions of dead. But it is more necessary than ever to remember about the past and pass on your knowledge to future generations.
