Pi1415926535 is a legitimate alternative account of User:Pi.1415926535. Please comments on my main talk page (autoredirected from this talk page).
It serves several purposes:
- Doppelganger account: The two usernames are extremely similar, differing by only a period. This way, no one can create an account with a username almost identical to my established account, either accidentally or maliciously.
- Public terminals: I don't trust school and library computers with my password to my main account. This way, I can log on safely without risking my main account.
- Image uploads: I use this username on Commons for non-controversial technical edits to images uploaded by others.
- Future use: this account may be used for a bot or semi-automated edits in the future.
I will never use this account to do potentially controversial editing or to add opinion to talk pages and other community discussions. It's solely going to be used for noncontroversial edits.
